Jamia made changes in the admission process for M.Phil./Ph.D. Forms will be issued from July.

New Delhi| For this academic year 2017-18, the forms for M.Phil. and Ph.D. admission at Jamia Milia Islamia University will be available from the first week of July. This information was given by the Assistant Controller of Examination, Professor Ahteshamul Haque over the phone. Professor said that after the meeting of Executive Council on May 25, the decision to issue the forms of M.Phil. and Ph.D. from July has been taken.

On the issue of seat cut for research programmes, the Assistant Examination Controller said that Jamia did not cut the number of seats in MPhil and PhD. This is unlike massive seat cut by Jawarharlal Nehru University in the backdrop of new UGC Guideline on M.Phil./Ph.D. programme. While making a change, however, Jamia has decided to go for the combined examination for research programme this year.
